being woken up early on saturday by your biological clock, scrambling to get out of bed, then realizing it's a saturday. The best feeling in the world.

Edited because I spelled "saturday" wrong

I was offered a new job last week at another company with a smarter team and better salary. I told my current company I am resigning and wished them luck. It felt good.

I may have been perhaps too flip with this comment. People this week have been hearing of my departure and the outpouring of warm thoughts and well wishes has been truly touching. Today I also sent my farewell email to the larger organization and the replies have been flooding in from around the globe. I won't get a chance to see a lot of these people now that I'm moving on, and I will miss a lot of them.

The happy part? These past few years haven't been a waste, and a lot of really wonderful people are in my life now, and care about me, and have enriched me in ways I'm still discovering. That's really freakin' cool.

Happiness is lurking over at the sold .com site and realizing that I have a warm cozy .org site to hang out at!

A metaphorical ownership could have a myriad of interpretations, and the literal interpretation of ownership carries unpleasant connotations. Admittedly, I don't understand?

You might encourage the stronger / more enjoyable members to join you here. Just remember, they have a filter on their site, so any time you type the url thescienceforum.org, it automatically is replaced with dot com. You have to spell it out, even in PMs... Like "type the scienceforum then put dot org" or use something like goo.gl to shorten it to this: http://goo.gl/2UjGz .

Happy... Being on an island with unlimited food, drinks, and beauty. No pressure... no problem.

I don't blame you for being confused, Giantevil. I was referring to a metaphorical kind of ownership, more like an extreme form of belonging and acceptance from a person you admire. Like those people who, even if we try to escape them for the wrong reasons, e.g. fear of loving or being loved, refuse to let us escape.

Ahh, okay, I see. I've lived on both sides of that fence. I suppose that I should be happy I've learned how to keep my own side clean, but I can't say that I've ever been able to influence the other side. Ah well, giving up is against the rules and there is always tomorrow.
