Hi,
Many know me from a long history at our sister forum.

For those who don't, I'm a middle aged science nut who's been a commercial fishermen, research meteorologist, Soldier, and now semi-retired naturalist and volunteer firemen/emergency medical tech(EMT) settled down in the Pacific NorthWest.

Hoping the infusion of refuges leads to active and informative discussions.

I hope you're right. Always respected your opinions and knowledge. Being an army brat, I have deep respect for soldiers too. Never followed in my father's military footsteps and chose civilian life instead. The one thing I must have inherited from being the offspring of an army man is a penchant for moving from one place to the other. A home is just a roof, that's what it was like living on the various bases of the Canadian Army, including Europe.

I'm about to take off to my home away from home for the summer. I won't have much contact with this forum or any forum in the next few months so I sincerely wish .org becomes insanely popular. Good luck to everyone.

Always respected your posts and the mind they illuminated. I now can in parallel respect your personal narrative. Glad to have you here.
