Looking for an internet service provider and the package I am interested in cites 1.3-3.9 Mbps as the most realistic speed. I know this is naff in comparison with what is available, but just how naff is it? I would want to mostly: browse websites, play YouTube videos, occasionally watch documentaries on BBC iPlayer and download/upload files. Would 1.3-3.9 Mbps be a problem? I don't want to pay for a speed I don't need, but equally, I would be pissed to wait half an hour to download an email attachment. Advice appreciated!

tbh I have no idea what my current internet speed is
all I know is that most times I have no issues with buffering or downloading, even though, as far as I'm aware I'm not on super fast broadband
still, I'm currently with Orange, but actually BT would be cheaper if I could rouse myself to make the move

Test your Internet connection speed here: http://www.speedtest.net/

My result:

To be sure, it's very slow, but I can make do with it.

They have app too, for folks on a mobile device.

I'm clearly spoiled. I'm seeing 54 Mbps downloads and 6 Mbps uploads, and am disappointed it's not faster since Google Fiber is offered in other neighborhoods a few miles away.
