If, and yes I mean a big IF, you could move venus out to the orbit of Mars, possibly move Mars to the orbit of Venus, is it possible to give a ball park figure on how long it would take Venus to cool down? I've seen estemates of how long it would take the Earth's atmosphere to freeze out if it was moved to interstellar space possibly it would be easier to figure Venus cool down that way....?

Possible, yes. Do I personally know what equations to use? No.That said, you know how much the incoming radiation from the sun affects its temperature in its current location, and could determine the same at a distance of Mars. You know how much it's co2 greenhouse effect insulates it and how it prevents a portion of the outward radiation from escaping. You could calculate how long it would take to radiate all existing heat absent any radiation from the sun, then compare that against the incoming radiation at its new location and note the difference and rate. Caveat - Orbits are elliptical so distance / time of year matters, as does axial tilt and regional variations of temp on Venus, but those can be averaged. _________________iNow"[Time] is one of those concepts that is profoundly resistant to a simple definition." ~C. In this link it asserts that within a year the temps on the Earth would be -100 if the sun disappeared, of course that is not the same as exchanging venus and mars...http://www.popsci.com/node/204957
